Elena's story

Elena V. (0) is a 38-year-old woman living in the town of Maninoa, Siumu. She is married and has six adult children.

Elena owns and operates a tailoring business, providing children's tailoring services to local community members. She has been engaged in this business for over four years and earns approximately 800 WST a month.

In 2004, Elena joined SPBD to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 3,200 WST from SPBD. This previous loan was used to purchase a new sewing machine.

Elena is now requesting a new loan of 3,000 WST which will be used to purchase additional tailoring equipment such as needles and thread. The loan will be her 6th from SPBD. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
