Bilal's story

Bilal is a 22-year-old single Syrian refugee. He came to Lebanon in 2009, seeking to earn a better income and to improve his living conditions.

He has been working as an employee in a restaurant with a limited monthly salary for five years.

He’s applying for his first loan from Kiva’s field partner, Al Majmoua, in order to pay his uncle’s surgery expenses.

Bilal wishes to improve his living conditions and open his own coffee shop.
