A loan of $625 helped buy a freezer.

Gladys's story

Gladis B., 39, is a single mother. She has three children; one is grown and the other two are minors. Also, her parents live with her.

Gladys sells basic needs items like rice, noodles, sugar, and bread. She sells food like empanadas and “milanesas” (breaded and fried veal) among others.

In 1998, in order to start this activity, she started selling fast food by setting up a small stand at every Patron Saint Festival in the city. The success of her food was so great that she used the income it generated to create her store.

Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit and her good service, she currently has a good customer base, and she continues to prepare foods to sell.

The loan she is asking for is to buy a freezer, which she needs to sell very cold drinks.

Her primary objective is to expand her location and set up a small bar.
