Tha Leik Gyi (A) Village Group's story

First from the left in the picture is the featured borrower of Tha Leik Gyi (A) Village Group. His name is Htin, and his main business is his crop farm. He owns 15 acres of farmland in Tha Leik Gyi village. This village is located in Pyapon, a town in the delta zone area of Myanmar. Rice is the main crop that Htin grows. His wife is a teacher and spends most of her time at school, thus Htin is the only one who manage the farm.

Though Htin is busy with the crops every day, he feels happy working at this job because it is also his hobby. Currently, Htin is applying for a loan to pay for plowing expenses and to purchase needed farming inputs such as quality seeds and fertilizers.
