Developed Women Group's story

In the photo are the members of the “Developed Women” group. They are small scale businesswomen based in BO, is the second largest city in Sierra Leone (after Freetown) and the largest city in the Southern Province.

With this loan, they will be able to expand their individual businesses, make more profit and consequently improve their standard of living. The featured leader of this group is Catherine. She is age 40; she is married to a Civil servant and the couple has 4 children. Catherine is a hair dresser, and she has been in this business for just one year.

After her training from one of the cosmetic training centers, one of her biggest successes is being able to build a house for her family . With her share of this loan, she is going to buy dozens of weavons and wigs to add to her current stock. On the left hand side of this photograph she stands with her child in her arms.
