A loan of $350 helped buying wool.

Ana's story

Ana is 28 years old, and a very loving mother. She lives in her own home with her two children: Jhon, 3, and Lizbeth, 1, for whom she wants to make a better life. Ana spends her time knitting sweaters, scarves, gloves, etc., which she sells to clothing shops. Her knitted products sell very well and are in high demand. She works hard to satisfy her customers, and this has allowed her to provide her family with a good income. Weaving is Ana's favourite part of her work, and she does so with great skill. She has been weaving for nine years, and still considers it the most difficult way to make a garment. Ana hopes to one day have her own clothing store, where she will be able to sell her own work and further improve her family's income. This is Ana's fifth loan with MFP; she's already putting money away so that she'll be able to make her payments on time. She is happy to be a member of her community bank, and doesn't wish to cause it any problems. With her loan, Ana will be able to buy more wool, which will allow her to make more garments and offer more variety to the shops that sell her work.
