Our partner, Sabina, is a native of Urubamba and lives in San Isidro Chicón. She is 32 years old, lives with her partner, and they have 4 young children. She alternates her activities as a mother with retail trade. This hard-working woman currently raises pigs and guinea pigs for wholesale and also has a space in her house where she sells chicha (a drink made from corn). At the same time, our partner has a plot of land for cultivating corn and potatoes, which she is currently clearing and irrigating in order to plant seeds again and have her harvest ready for the coming year. Through a lot of hard work, she managed to buy her own land, and little by little she is building it up, but she requires the loan to buy a greater number of animals to raise and therefore have greater productivity. She is grateful for and values the support, and she is committed to paying off her debt in the established time-frame.
