A loan of $675 helped to purchase high quality "pagnes" (colorful wax cloths) and jewelry.

Djamilatou's story

This woman is married and the mother of one child. In 2002, she opened a boutique selling superior quality "pagnes" (colorful wax cloths). She also sells very valuable jewelry. Her store is well-known by many people, by all of the business women in the private sector and the female civil servants of the government. She receives orders for gems from France. To renew her stock of "pagnes" and jewelry, she is requesting a loan from WAGES (the micro-finance institution). She will use this loan to purchase 15 "Hitarget" brand "pagnes", 5 "Wax" brand "pagnes", 10 "Phoenix" brand "pagnes" and boxes of high-value jewels.

Her shop is located in the neighborhood of Adidoadin, in Lomé.
