A loan helped to buy certified seeds and pay workers.

Carlos Vicente's story

Carlos is 51 and in a common law marriage. His family is made up of his wife, who works doing the chores of the home, and their two daughters: Karen, 16, and Sofía, 12, who are in school. They live in the countryside.

He has worked the majority of his life planting potatoes. During six months, he does this work to later harvest and sell his product at the market. This has allowed him to have valuable income for his family.

He dreams of having his own land to continue with his work, but the lack of capital has limited his work. Today, he needs to buy certified seeds and pay workers to improve his harvest productivity. Above all, his income will be better.
