A loan of $750 helped to buy fruits and vegetables to offer her customers a variety of products.

Berta Hilda's story

This young woman, Bertilda P., is 25 years old and lives in the neighborhood of San Pedro, located in the municipality of Ticuantepe with her husband and step-son. She works as a carrier to help with the household expenses. She takes care of a one-year old boy. Her plans for her family are to eventually buy some land and build her own house, as she is currently living with her mother. She has been selling fruits and vegetables for 3 years, which she began with her own savings and now with loans for supplying the general public. The main difficulty that presents itself is the lack of financing. With the loan she is going to buy fruits and vegetables to be able to maintain her business and be able to offer her customers variety. She also hopes to capture new customers. She is thankful to the institution for the financing that makes possible prosperity in Nicaraguan families.
