Annabelle's story

Annabelle O. is from the city of Dapitan. She is 47 years old. Annabelle is married and has five grown children. To make a living, Annabelle operates a food stall. The main source of income for the business comes from selling a variety of fruit products in the local community. Annabelle has been engaged in her business for more than 10 years and earns approximately 6,000 Philippine pesos a month for these activities.

In 2008, Annabelle joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Annabelle has successfully repaid a previous loan of 7,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to purchase new items to expand her product offering. Annabelle is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional inventory and as working capital. This will be the fourth loan taken out by Annabelle from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
