Hekima Group - Morogoro's story

Tedi is in her early sixties. Despite being older, Tedi is a very hardworking mother. Her husband died years ago and left her with four children, two of whom are still in school. She started a food-selling business seven years ago so she could take care of her family. She cooks different kind of foods, such as rice, green bananas, spaghetti, Irish food, cassava, and soup with chicken, fish, and other meats. She works daily from 7:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m. Tedi earns her profit from local customers.

This will be Tedi's first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She is applying for this loan so that she can buy more plates, a micro-oven, saucepans, spoons, seats, and tables to attain more customers. Tedi wants to start a catering business in the future.

Tedi will share a portion of this loan with her Hekima loan group members. They all promise to be responsible for paying back the loan.
