A loan of $1,550 helped a member to buy essential goods and domestic items.

Khaldé Fothy Group's story

We are a group of adult women doing commerce in staple goods, such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, and any other kinds of widely-consumed goods.  We have two stores located at the marketplace of our eco-village that we want to resupply with merchandise for September because supply problems at this time of year are quite numerous due to the rainy season settling in.  And the roads are difficult to navigate.

The people of the surrounding villages exhibit difficulties in supplying themselves with food items due their isolation.  So, thanks to this loan, we'll be able to stock a lot of goods for facilitating access for neighboring populations.  This will also enable us to create steady jobs for our eco-village's young people, who are going to run these stores.
