A loan of $150 helped working capital.

Maria Azucena's story

Maria Azucena Z. M. is 43. She is a client of Fundación León 2000, is married, and has one son who goes to school through the efforts of her and her husband. She is an expert at a common activity, which is butchering pigs and selling tamales. She has had this business for more than 6 years. She used to sell chickens, but she always had problems because she had to travel to far-away places to sell her products, which was very tiring, and it was difficult to continue on like that. Because of her sister, she decided to sell pigs. When she noticed she made very good profits, she decided to continue doing this. The financing she is requesting is for working capital to buy pigs and products she needs to make her tamales. Her biggest dream is that her son has the opportunity to study that she wasn't able to have.
