Colquecancha Group's story

These members belong to the Communal Bank “Colquecancha”. The bank is located in the District of Urubamba in Urubamba Province, Department of Cusco.

One of the members is Sra. Sorayda. She is 32 years old, single, and has two children. Sorayda divides her time between her daily activities and managing her cattle business. She also has a business of selling “chicha” (a traditional Peruvian beverage made from corn). Sorayda fattens and raises her cattle and then sells them at different fairs. She works from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. She wants to get ahead in her work. Her dream is to expand her business of selling cattle. Sorayda is requesting a loan in order to buy cattle.

The members of this group are grateful to those who have helped to fulfill their dreams in this manner, so they promise to complete their payments according to the established terms.
