A loan helped to buy 10 more kilos each of different dried and smoked fish, as well as cold cuts such as sweet cured meat and sausages to sell in her store.

Josie's story

Josie is happy and thankful for the PHP 30,000 loan extended to her. With this amount she bought assorted dried fish including rabbitfish, anchovies and ponyfish. She was also able to buy egg noodles and different condiments. All these purchases were done in bulk and during the high supply season which brought Josie discounts on her purchases. It was also an opportunity for her to be able to buy dried fish directly from provincial suppliers.

Soon, and due to the good quality of her products, Josie has received orders in bulk from neighbors who want to re-sell her dried fish to their co-workers or office mates. In this context, Josie is requesting for another PHP 30,000 loan to buy 10 more kilos each of different dried and smoked fish, as well as cold cuts such as sweet cured meat and sausages to sell in her store.

Josie hopes that she can make a mark in being a retailer of dried fish and processed meat in her town.
