Celfe's story

Celfe is a resident of Baybay, Leyte. She is married and has three children between the ages of 12 and 19 years old. She earns a living by selling vegetables; she started this business a few months ago. Meanwhile, her husband is a bus driver.

A toilet is a household necessity and Celfe’s family uses it every day. With this in mind, she is asking for a loan, through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, who offers financial assistance for safe water and proper hygiene. With this loan, she will buy materials such as cement, deformed bar, sand, coco lumber, hollow blocks, nails, galvanized iron, umbrella nails, an elbow, solvent, adhesive and a toilet bowl.

With the help of this loan, Celfe will improve their toilet making it comfortable and safe to use.
