A loan of $350 helped operating capital for all of her businesses.

Doris's story

Doris is 41 years old and lives with her husband and 2 children in the home of her elderly parents. Since she was young, she has always worked in her parents’ business. They taught her the various tasks that needed to be completed. For 14 years, she has helped to take care of the steam baths that operate out of her house.

After she got married, Doris invested more time into the business, especially assuming responsibility in managing and controlling the revenues. At the same time, she added a small shop where she sells products customers can buy before entering the sauna modules. Her business is open daily from 8am to 6pm. She always tries to take good care of her customers, who are pleased to have very efficient service. Part of her plan is to add a store that sells natural products so that she can contribute to the well-being of the community and improve her family’s income so that they can continue to prosper.

Doris is a new client of Microfinanzas PRISMA, so this will be her first loan. She expects her Communal Bank will be committed to working together. She will use her loan of 1000 soles to make improvements to her new store and upgrade the existing sauna modules.
