A loan of $850 helped purchase more lumber for resale.

Roy's story

Roy is 31 years old and lives with his partner and mother of their 4 year old son, who is his biggest motivation to keep going. He buys lumber and sells it to various companies that need it for their construction jobs. In order to do this, Roy travels to different villages in his area to buy lumber as well as other products such as fish, poultry, and pigs to sell in the city. Roy has been in business for 3 years and is doing very well. What he likes most about his job is working alone because it comes without the pressure of a boss. His business remains profitable because the price of wood has remained stable and he already has an established clientele.

This is Roy’s 5th loan with MFP. He likes working with his Communal Bank because there is great camaraderie among all the members and he feels comfortable with them. He will be using his loan to buy more lumber to increase his sales.
