Armine's story

Armine M. is 41 years old and lives in Ijevan with her family. She is married and has two sons. Her husband is a motor mechanic and has his own garage. Their two sons are also employed and help to sustain the family.



Armine studied accounting in Ijevan college and later worked in a bakery in Moscow. In 1997, she returned to Armenia and found a job as a shop assistant at a poultry farm’s market stall.



Since 2002, Armine has owned her own business. Now, she sells eggs and candy in a stall that she rents at a food market. Armine is requesting a loan of $1200 to buy a consignment of eggs for her business.
