A loan of $2,300 helped a member to purchase goats to fatten and resell.

Nyesigi Group's story

ALIMA is the woman holding the sheep by the horn in the photo. She is an illiterate Malian housewife. She is 41 years old, married and the mother of five children between 9 and 19 years old. They are all boys and two of them go to school. Her husband is a farmer.

Alima has been raising goats for over 12 years. She is a trustworthy client. She makes her purchases in the surrounding markets and resells in the same markets. Her earnings allow her to support the needs of her family.

Alima is borrowing money from RMCR to buy many goats. The death of an animal is a problem she often encounters. In the future she would like larger loans to expand her business raising animals and to better satisfy the needs of her family.
