Mrs. Srey Sokh Ny Village Bank Group's story

Twenty-eight people living in Sdao Kanlaeng village in Kandal province comprise this village bank loan group, and they will use the loan for various purposes.

Mrs. Srey Sokh N. is the 30-year-old village bank president. She is a fried-banana seller. She is also a farmer who rents a piece of land on which she cultivates rice. In this plantation, she faces an obstacle because her field is infertile and has a lot of insects to damage the crop. Thus, she decided to ask for a loan to buy fertilizer and pesticides to support the rice field.

Mrs. Srey Sokh N.’s husband, Mr. Kung Vutha, works in a restaurant. The couple has two children, one of whom is enrolled in the local school while the youngest one is too young to work or study.
