A loan of $1,375 helps a member to buy seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers for her crops.

Chrorn's Group's story

Chrorn is 30 years old, married, and has three children. Two of her children are in school and the other one is still too young. Chrorn lives and works in a local village of Kampong Ko Commune in Kampong Savy District, Kampong Thom Province. She has been growing rice as her family’s main source of income for the past three years. Her husband works as a fisherman to supplement their income. Since her crops have been threatened by insects, she was not able to generate as much of a yield as before.

This will be her second loan cycle with VisionFund. The other group members are on either their third or fourth loan cycle. Chrorn will use her portion of the loan to cover farming expenses such as the purchase of seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers so that her crops can grow well. She hopes this loan will help her to earn a better income so that she can continue supporting her children’s education.
