Albina's story

Albina is 43 years old and lives with her 4 children in their own home. She has been farming since she was a little girl. For 22 years, she has been managing her own land and raising animals such as pigs, sheep, and bulls. Albina wakes up every morning to feed her animals, either by cutting fresh grass for them to feed on or taking them out to graze. She then prepares food for her family and afterwards surveys her land to make sure her fields are in good condition. Her attentiveness helps to ensure a good harvest, since she sells in large quantities to various merchants or occasionally in the city market directly to customers. In the future, Albina plans to renovate her stable so that she can start raising pure-breed cattle to earn more profits.

This is Albina’s third loan with MFP. She is excited to be part of her Communal Bank. The money she is requesting will be used to purchase large quantities of fertilizer and potato seedlings.
