Isidro's story

Sr. Isidro O. is an entrepreneur who has been operating a school transportation service for the past 4 years. His business has grown slowly over time, and now he has a fleet of 4 vehicles. This allows his wife and two other employees to help with transporting students. Being a small businessman, he has been able to provide employment for his two employees who are paid for each trip.

When we talked to Sr. Isidro, he mentioned that he started a program called “Adopt a Child” in which he provides free transportation to low-income students who cannot afford to pay for this service. Isidro is concerned about the education of each child. At the beginning of the school year, he meets with the School Director to select which students to accept into the program. For the few people who care about this situation, they feel this is a noble cause.

Sr. Isidro is now a requesting a loan in order to pay for maintenance of his 4 transport vehicles. With the start of classes, he wants his vehicles to be in perfect condition for the sake of his passengers’ safety. In addition, he wants to provide the best quality of life for his family. He and his wife are expecting two children.
