A loan of $650 helped to buy various grocery products to sell and fabric for sewing.

Darlin Marina's story

Sra. Darlin is 34 years old and lives with her husband and two dependent children in the community of San Lorenzo, which is located in southern Honduras. She has her own home and has been selling groceries for more than four years. Her husband sells plastic goods.

Darlin is a hardworking young woman with dreams of getting ahead. She also does sewing (producing blouses and curtains) and butchers pigs. Darlin is requesting a loan in order to buy groceries such as rice, sugar, oil, lard, cornmeal, wheat flour, eggs, juices, and soft drinks. She will also buy fabric for sewing. With the help of this loan, she intends to improve her business.

Darlin is grateful to Prisma and Kiva for the support from her previous loans. Her dream is to buy a car to use for her work.
