Mary's story

Mary is forty – three years old. She is married and has given birth to four children, two sons and two daughters. All of her children are still in school. Mary works very hard to support her husband to provide for the family. She lives with her husband and children in a rented apartment in Dunkwa in the Central region of Ghana. Mary is a trader. She trades in cereals such as maize, beans, groundnuts, etc. She also deals in sugar. Mary buys her goods all the way from Northern Ghana. She supplies to food vendors and other retailers in her community. She has been in business for over twenty – five years and wants a loan to buy goods in bulk to expand her business.
