Soknan Group's story

Soknan, aged 37, is a resident of the Tbong Khmum province of Cambodia. She lives with her husband and three school-aged children. Since they married, she and her husband have worked together on their cassava farm to make profits to support their living expenses. This couple typically makes around US$13 per day.

In order to increase her crop yields as well as her family's profits, as the leader of the Soknan Group, Soknan is now requesting a loan with this group of four members. Soknan will use her share of the loan to buy additional cassava seeds to grow.

In the future, Soknan is going to purchase two more hectares of farmland, build a bigger house, and help her children to obtain higher education.
