Santiago 3 De Mayo Group's story

The Santiago 3 de Mayo communal bank will begin it first cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the 3 de Mayo regional center. It is comprised of ten members and led by a board of directors.

Marleni is the president. The loan that they will take out will benefit small business owners where Marleni is a member. She currently has a business of selling bread. She says that she learned this business on her own initiative several years ago.

The loan she will now take out is to increase capital in order to buy flour wholesale. She will buy it from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. After making the bread she will sell it at her sales space.

This way of working allows her to generate resources to financially support her family. She is married and has two children.
