A loan helped to invest in her scarf making business by increasing scarf production.

Nasreen's story

Nasreen has spent her life struggling for her family. She is 51 and has four children. She is engaged in scarf making business with more than 7 years of experience. After spending years struggling to get her finances right she now earns some income important for her family's being.

A hardworker by nature she has a scarf making set up at home. She makes fabric and then uses different colored threads by makes nodes at the boarders to embellish it.

Her clients are mostly whole sellers and vendors. She sells the scarf in bundle of 12 dozen earning a meager 1,000 PKR approx for each bundle. In order to make her business more lucrative she plans to increase production. This will help her establish her business more and also help her save some money.

To cater with lack of capital she has requested BRAC Pakistan for a loan that will be invested in buying the necessary items like thread.

Hopeful for a better future Nasreen looks up to Kiva's support.
