A loan of $500 helped to buy fertilizer, seeds, insecticides, etc. for his corn crop.

José Astul's story

José went to school as far as the sixth grade due to financial circumstances. He is single and has 5 children who do not live with him. He lives alone, but has one daughter who is dependent on him.

José works in agriculture and livestock, which he learned from his parents when he was very young. The land where he grows crops is 500 meters from his house, and he travels there by bicycle. His work hours are from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

José will use the loan to buy fertilizer, seeds, insecticides, etc. for his corn crop.

His dreams are to buy two metal granaries to better store his basic grains, and to have better earnings from his harvests.
