A loan of $300 helped to buy more clothes for her husband's business.

Fiyaz's story

Fiyaz is a 42-year-old married woman and the mother of 7 children. Her children are too young to go to school.

Her husband is a hawker by profession and sells old clothes to locals. Such old clothes are very common and used for cleaning. Fiyaz and her husband are pictured in this photo with some of his wares. Her husband does scrap work, but since his income is not sufficient to support the family, he also sells old clothes and works hard to make ends meet.

He currently needs to buy more old clothes, both because the demand is high and to generate income so the family can save for the future.

Fiyaz and her family live in a rented house. Her husband's dream is to save enough to buy a piece of land and build his own house one day.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services in some of the poorest parts of Pakistan.
