Shakila's story

Shakila is a 31-year-old woman, she lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan with her 2 children. Her husband has been working in a private job for many years, he is responsible for fulfilling the needs of family. Shakila is also providing sewing services and earns an income to contribute and help her husband to manage the household.

She needs to purchase a variety of fabrics for her sewing purposes, sew them and resell them in her community. But due to insufficient financial means, she is unable to purchase these fabrics. Therefore she has applied for Kiva loan from its field partner BRAC Pakistan. This loan will enable her to purchase these fabrics and also will be helpful for her to increase monthly sales and profit by providing better sewing services.

Shakila is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.
