A loan helped a member to start a new business of selling clothes.


Nejma Group's story

Aziza is the featured borrower of Nejma group. She got together with the other group members to acquire a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua because they have always been friends since they left their hometown in Syria to come and work in Lebanon with a better income to support their beloved ones back in Syria.

Aziza is a 29-year-old married mother of two children and a Syrian refugee. She works as a daily laborer to help her husband in covering the needs and expenses of their family.

Today, she is acquiring a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to start a new business of selling clothes. She is the lady on the left.

With respect to the other group members, Nejmeh is in the middle, and Siham is the first on the right of the photo.
