A loan of $3,750 helped a member operating capital.

Jazmines Group's story

The group “Jazmines” is led by Sra. Ana Maria and consists of 15 members. They are of low income, but hardworking and possess high expectations of succeeding so that they can improve their families’ quality of life. The members have been friends for a long time since they live and operate their businesses in the same neighborhood. They have different commercial ventures such as grocery stores, selling food, and cosmetics sales by catalog. Most of the members run their businesses out of their home, while others sell their products door-to-door.

Even though business competition exists in their neighborhood, the members have dealt with it in different ways. If they are not doing well, then they are advised to go into other areas to market their products or diversify their business activities so that they can meet their financial obligations. The loan that is being issued to the group will be used to buy products that will satisfy their customers and make them more competitive. They will also purchase supplies needed to expand their businesses. Those members who are food or cosmetics vendors will have the opportunity to stock up on merchandise at low cost.

The members are starting their second loan cycle with Fundación Agrocapital and they have high expectations for personal growth. Their loans have proven their usefulness when it became evident that they could proviD. their familes with a better quality of life.
