A loan helped move into my own space and increase employment opportunities.

Perdesha's story

I was born and raised in Cleveland. Cleveland is a major city in Ohio. It’s located on the shores of Lake Erie, home of the Cavaliers and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ever since I was a little girl, as far as I could remember, I’ve always enjoyed doing therapeutic things. I would go for long walks, taking in all that nature had to offer. I would ride my bike because it was a comforting experience. When my mom would take us on family trips it was a chance to really delve into relaxation time, truly balancing out our life of rush rush rush. She made sure we energized our minds, treated our bodies and relaxed our spirit. Once those trips became less frequent my desire to keep a balanced therapeutic life was stronger than ever.

Who knew this would be what would lead me to seek out a life that consisted of these three elements (body, mind and spirit). So, I decided in High School to explore Massage Therapy when I learned of it’s great benefits. I went on to pursue this endeavor at Sanford Brown College, where I earned my Diploma in Massage and Body Therapy in 2004. Little did I know that Massage Therapy offered a wealth of benefits like fighting stress, calming nerves, easing muscle pain and tension, improving circulation, removing toxin to help fight disease.

I currently reside in Jersey City, NJ. Luckily, Massage Therapy affords me the ability to take my skill set with me wherever I go. There is an amazing amount of seekers out there looking to balance and nurture their lives and I’ve had great success utilizing my training techniques to help so many accomplish this cause.
