Patar Group's story

This group of 16 members is part of a banc villageois which was created in September 2010. It groups together very united women who work in commerce, raising animals and agriculture.

Khady standing on the right of the photo with her hand raised is the featured borrower. She is 55 years old, married and the mother of 4 children, one of them a girl.

With the new loan she plans on buying fabric in a nearby city that she will resell retail in the markets close to her village.

Her earnings will be used to buy food for the family and school supplies for the children.
