Ray's Group's story

Living in a wooden house located in the Kandal district of Kandal Stoeng province, Ray is aged 62 years and a widow. She has three children.

To make a living, she has been farming rice and working for others for a fee (as a dishwasher in a restaurant) for 21 years. The current business earns her about 35,000 KHR per day, and she manages to save about 10,000 KHR each day for future needs.

This is the sixth microloan for Ray with VisionFund. She is forming a new group to ask for a loan. As the leader, she is going to use loan portion to buy pesticides and fertilizers for her farmland. With this loan, she hopes to grow her business and earn a larger income to improve her standard of living.
