Jordan Group's story

Jordan Group consists of four Filipino women who have left their families back in the Philippines and gone to Lebanon to work as domestic workers which allowed them to help their families back home. They are all previous borrowers from Kiva's field partner, Al Majmoua, and wish to use their eighth worker loan from the association in order to help their families.

Normita, the woman on the far right, is the featured borrower of this group. She is a 48-year-old Filipino divorcee and a mother of two. She had to leave her children with her family and head to Lebanon hoping she would be able to provide them with a better life in their homeland. She managed to find a job as a domestic worker and wishes to use her requested loan in order to send money back to her family in the Philippines.
