A loan of $525 helped buy fertilizers and pesticides to fertilize and maintain her lentil crop.

Clara's story

Clara, 41, lives with her husband and her 18 year old daughter in the town of Las Zarandas in the Pítipo district, which is located 45 minutes from the city of Chiclay.

She has worked in agriculture for nine years. She has land where she plants lentils, which is located in the Calupe area. It is a 20 minute walk from her house. Every day she heads there to work the land with her husband. Lentils are a crop that requires much care in order to produce in an efficient manner.

They give the best of themselves to get ahead with their crop. They depend upon the crop to pay the educational costs of their daughter. She is studying for a technical career in the city of Chiclay.

The scant resources they have to support their daily expenses and the maintenance of their lentil crop have motivated her to come to the institution a second time to ask for a loan for 1,500 PEN. She intends to buy fertilizers and pesticides to fertilize and maintain her crops.

Clara had a previous loan with the Institution, and she paid it back punctually. Therefore, she is considered to be an excellent client.
