A loan of $1,025 helped purchase of fertilizer and topsoil to maintain sweet potato.

Cesar Augusto's story

César and his family live with his parents. He and his wife have 2 children, ages 3 and 4. They live in the village of La Garita, a sector located along the road between Pimentel and Chiclayo; it is 15 minutes from the city.

He has worked in agriculture almost all his life and depends on this work to support not only his wife and young children but also his parents, who are elderly and have been dependent on him since a few years ago.

César has sowed a hectare of sweet potato on the land he owns near his house, but doesn't have sufficient resources to cover the costs of maintaining his crop. For these costs he has requested a loan of 3,000 PEN to cover maintenance expenses and obtain a better harvest.

César hopes to keep supporting his family and also to provide a better quality of life for his parents. That's why he works so hard on his land. He has already had a loan with our institution and repaid it punctually, so he is considered a responsible client.
