A loan of $350 helped increase merchandise.

Liliana's story

Liliana is 53 years old. She is married and lives with her youngest child, who is 23, in a leased house. For more than three years, she has been selling different items, depending on the occasion and time of year, but she prefers to sell baby clothing. Liliana goes on long hikes to find new customers, so she leaves her house every morning and comes back in the afternoon. In this way she has been able to earn her own income that allows her to cover her household expenses.

Liliana is happy to be doing this, because it allows her to communicate with the other people in her area, and in the near future she would like to continue selling but in an established store in her own area.

This is the first time that she has had a loan with MFP. She joined her communal bank because of an invitation from one of the members, so she is committed to being punctual with her payments. The money that she is requesting will be used to buy a larger quantity of clothing for all ages. She will travel to another city to stock up on large quantities.
