A loan of $1,000 helped purchasing construction materials for building a kitchen.

Iccel Amanda's story

Iccel Amanda is 30 years old, and lives in the Laureles Sur neighborhood in the capital, Managua. She has a small grocery store where she sells a variety of products. She started this business with her savings and with loans she received from Kiva partner Afodenic. This is her sixth loan cycle, and she is happy because she has been able to increase her business and improve her inventory. Iccel Amanda has a 4-year-old son, and her husband helps her manage her business. She will use this loan to invest in the purchase of construction materials for building a kitchen, which will improve her family’s standard of living. Her plan for the future is to continue increasing her business and become a wholesale distributor. She thanks the Afodenic organization for her personal achievements, which have been of great benefit to her family.
