Mirjeta's story

Mirjeta is photographed at the stable near her house. She is 52 years old and the mother of two children, ages 18 and 24. Mirjeta and her husband have been working in agriculture and raising livestock for 27 years. They have 16 dynym (1 dynym = 1000 square meters) of agricultural land where they plant wheat, corn, and fodder. Mirjeta owns four cows and the income from selling milk totals $5,200 per year. She is also able to sell four calves that total $1,600.

Her son is studying at a professional school in the capital and hopes to become a successful electrician. Mirjeta needs to pay his tuition fees and dormitory costs. Agro & Social Fund wishes him the best of luck!
