A loan helped to buy more fresh fish to smoke and resell.

Beatrice's story

Beatrice is 59 years old, and a widow. She has a child and is very hard-working, sociable, and has good interpersonal skills. She has always been desirous of being financially independent, thus going into the fried fish business. She says this has been very helpful in supporting her only child, family members, and attending to some basic needs in the house. She is requesting GHS 4,000 to be able to buy more fried fish in large amount to meet the increasing demand of clients and to pay for her child’s apprenticeship. Acquiring a deep freezer to store fresh fish, a minivan, and a large space for a wholesale outlet is her biggest dream. Her challenge has been transportation costs and a storage system. She is thankful to Kiva for their support.
