Danaya Group's story

Wagara, the featured borrower, is pictured with his hand on the sheep. He is 49 years old and lives in Mali with his family. He is a married father of eight children aged one to 15 years, including two who currently attend school. His wife takes care of their home and children.

For more than 20 years, Wagara has earned a living buying and reselling livestock in the local markets, earning about 30,000 francs per sheep sold. He is requesting this loan from RMCR to buy a large number of sheep with the aim of increasing his income. His goal is to be able to meet all the costs of raising his family including health care and clothing. He dreams of being a great businessman in the area and being useful to his community.
