San Gabriel Group's story

The San Gabriel Association is a group of 14 women who have been working together with Pro Mujer for the past 13 years. They meet every two weeks in the Villa Tejada community center. Their current president is Jeannette T., who affirms that the members have formed friendships over the years and support one another when needed.

Different types of businesses are represented in this group. For example, Norah sells jewelry. Others prepare and sell food from boarding houses and vending stalls. Some members sell aprons, furniture and groceries. The San Gabriel Association desires to increase their earnings since most of their children attend university. For this reason, they need to buy more goods and supplies to invest into their businesses so that they can increase their sales and generate more profits.

In this group: Jeannette Ancelma, Pascuala, Concepcion Norah, Gloria, Piedad, Maria, Santusa Valentina, Benita, Remedios Ruth*, Rosa*, Juana Daysi, Olga, Marcela, Sofia Irene
