Las Pagadoras Group's story

Las Pagadoras Communal Bank was founded on July 17, 2009 by a group of women entrepreneurs who want to expand their businesses. The group consists of 12 members and this is their first loan cycle. These women are engaged in such retail businesses such as jewelry, food, cosmetics, quilts/sheets, medicines, mocochinchi (peach cider), baked goods, groceries, and other products that are bought and sold on credit.

Sra. Arminda A. is the group president and this is her first time in this position. She sells clothing while she looks after her family in her spare time. Sra. Arminda is very friendly and dynamic, as well as one of the most accomplished and responsible members of the group. She hopes not to disappoint with this opportunity Emprender has offered to her.

Sra. Iris Lainer A. B. is the group treasurer. She sells perfumes and cosmetics maD. by Yanbal and Avon. In addition to being a student, she also takes care of her one year old child and handles the household chores. With the income she earns, she is able to support her family and help her parents with their living expenses. The other group members view Sra. Iris as someone who is responsible and accomplished. She is one of the founders of the group.

Sra. Dina V. R. is the group secretary. She makes and sells clothing. Sra. Dina works 12 hours each day, Monday through Sunday. Her customers bring her the fabric she uses to make the clothing they request. She is one of the founders of the group and this opportunity presented by Emprender is very important to her.
