Vann N. is a 55-year-old married man and older father. He has a lot of skills to earn a living. He plants vegetables and rice on his own farmland and is also hired by neighbors to help on their farms. He owns an old cultivating machine. Normally, he can make a daily profit of around $3.50 per day to meet his entire family’s living expenses, while his wife assists him in growing crops.

This older couple is devoted to their six children who are single and live in the family home. Two of their children are employed in farming. Vann N. says that he works hard every day to supply the money for his family's demands. He will be using his loan to purchase a new farming machine for a plowing service and to repair his old machine that has broken.
