Falala's story

Falala E. is a 48-year-old woman who lives in Samalaeulu Leauvaa. She is married and has 6 school-aged children. To make a living, Falala runs a bakery where she bakes & sells a variety of baked goods to the local community. Falala has been engaged in this business for over 2 years and earns approximately 400 WST a month from these activities.

In 2009, Falala joined SPBD to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Falala is requesting for the first time a loan from SPBD. Falala is now requesting a new loan of 1000 WST which will be used to purchase additional cooking ingredients. This will be her first loan from SPBD. Falala plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
